You can find all of the available methods of accepting online bookings if you click on the “Online Booking” button in the main navigation panel.
Planfy widget is a little web app that displays the services you provide as well as availability of your business and staff. Customers can book your services online using Planfy booking widget.
When you create a Planfy account, a dedicate booking widget gets generated specifically for your business. It can be embedded on your website or elsewhere. There are four variations of the booking widget which you can choose from depending on your requirements: Popup Widget, Embedded Widget, Widget Page and Profile Page. It’s up to you what widget type you select, pick the one which suits you and looks best on your website.
Method One: Popup Widget
This particular widget type is very flexible because it does not affect your website’s layout. Effectively, it can be added to any page because the widget appears as a popup when it gets triggered. You can see what the popup look like when you click the “Preview” button.
Further down the page you will find widget customisation options. You can set Widget Colour Theme by selecting one of the colours from the palette or entering your own custom colour in hex value (e.g. #000000 for black).
In addition, you are able to force the widget to be always translated to a specific language. By default, it’s translated automatically based on customer’s browser language however, if you prefer, you may choose a specific translation from the “Widget Language” dropdown.
Next, you can customise the look of the Widget Trigger. This is a floating or inline button which when clicked opens the booking widget popup.
Finally, the last step is to get the widget installation code. To do so, please click on the “Install” button. This will open a window with your widget code that you need to add to your website. Copy the provided code and paste it in your website’s template file such as footer. If you need any help, get in touch with Planfy team on live chat.
Please note: if you do not want to use the “widget trigger button”, it is also possible to initialise the popup using any link or button on your website as long as it has onClick=”Pfy.clickTrigger()”. For example:
<a onClick="Pfy.clickTrigger()">Book Now</a>
Method Two: Embedded Widget
This widget type can be embedded directly on the page of your website so it affects your website’s layout. Typically, it is used on a pricing page so customers can see all the services you provide and book them based on real-time availability straight on the same page.
The screenshot below shows an example demo website with the embedded widget:
The embedded widget can be customised (similarly like the Popup widget) and you can install it by copying the widget code and adding it to one of your website’s pages.
Method Three: Widget Page
This widget type allows you to accept bookings without the need to have a website. By using the Widget Page, you can direct your customers to this page and they will be able make bookings there. You may visit your unique booking widget page by clicking the “Go to Widget Page” button or copying the provided link.
Method Four: Profile Page
This method is similar to the “Widget Page” however booking profile page has more information about your business. In addition to showing the services you provide, it also displays your business logo, photo and video gallery, map with directions, contact details, opening hours and the team members.
Bookings via Facebook
If you have a business page on Facebook, you can add a “Book now” button there. This button will direct your Facebook page visitors to your Planfy booking widget or profile pages. It’s easy to do so and you can find the instructions here: https://www.planfy.com/portal/integration/facebook .
