When it comes to payments and deposits we find that every business has different requirements. Sometimes payment can cause too much friction and is therefore removed to improve conversion. In other cases a deposit is necessary to prevent no-shows and time wasters. Some clients have even asked to collect refundable deposits for free services.
Planfy’s deposit system has been built to be flexible to all of these requirements. We have 4 main types of deposits:
- No deposit
- Full deposit
- Fixed deposit
- Percentage deposit
You can configure your deposit requirements from the Booking Policy. The options you choose here will be applied to all of your services.
Don’t forget to also setup your payment gateway, you can setup Stripe from Settings > Online Payments.
If a deposit is required then the customer will be asked for their card details at the end of the process before the booking is placed.
